Biography
Meet Todd
Throughout his career, Todd Tolson has helped businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, universities, and community leaders strengthen relationships through authentic communication, compelling storytelling, and inclusive practices. His work is built on a simple belief: trust is the foundation of every successful partnership, and stories have the power to build that trust.
Todd is the founder of the Blind Muse Foundation, where he has written, produced, filmed, narrated, and audio described award-winning educational documentaries that bridge understanding between blind and sighted communities. Through these films, he demonstrates the same storytelling principles he teaches from the stage—using authentic human experiences to educate, inspire, and create meaningful change.
Rather than simply teaching the power of storytelling, Todd has spent years using it to educate communities, strengthen organizations, influence public engagement, and expand accessibility for people with disabilities. Whether speaking from a conference stage, consulting with an organization, or producing a documentary, his focus remains the same: helping people connect through authentic communication that creates understanding, strengthens relationships, and inspires lasting impact.
In 2024, Todd was appointed by Governor Wes Moore to serve on the Maryland State Rehabilitation Council, where he helps strengthen vocational rehabilitation services and workforce opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Also in 2026, Todd was selected as one of only eight presenters at the National Coalition of State Rehabilitation Councils Conference, where he presented to representatives from 21 states and Guam on the power of digital storytelling and accessible communication. He also received the Barry Levine Career Achievement Award in Audio Description for his contributions to advancing accessibility through media and education.
Whether speaking to executives, nonprofit leaders, educators, government agencies, or community organizations, Todd helps audiences strengthen relationships through storytelling, accessibility, leadership, and authentic communication. His presentations combine practical strategies with real-world experience, leaving audiences inspired and equipped to create meaningful change.
